Automated man, Thought inheritance and the Cycle of existence. Are humans the masters of their own destiny? If our heart beats willy-nilly, if our gut digests food regardless of our will, if our kidney filtrates body waste whether we like it or not, to what extent are we really in control of our thoughts and actions?
If we look like our parents, walk like them and possess their tone of voice, did we also inherit ancestral thoughts?
Is there really a beginning and will there ever be an end? If more than 60% of human body composition is water, if close to 90% of human body chemical are recyclable elements, is man's life a tiny wheel in the mega wheel of the cycle of existence?
When the society reviews its scoreboard on the youth, it will dawn on it that it has invested a lot of resources thus far. It has gotten the youths through the dependency of childhood and the turbulence period of adolescence. Now the youth has to give back and quickly too before their strength and attractions begin to dwindle into the doldrums of middle age.
As our biological clock unwinds from conception to demise the book further discusses intervening life perplexities such as: * Stranger anxiety in infants * developmental stages of adolescence and youth, menstruation, menopause, prostatism, aging, the human soul and transition into oblivion.
Also covered in this book are array of contemporary, often controversial topics that include: whether newborns have any cognition at birth, memory and disorders of thought, imagination, conception, when life actually begins, Alzheimer disease etc.
I think that I brought forth into this book my entire energy as a theorist, a philosopher, a naturalist and a physician in clinical practice for twenty five years. Nigeria is where I was born and where I grew up. I graduated from medical school at University of Ibadan, Nigeria and completed my residency training in pediatrics at Brookdale hospital, Brooklyn New York. My private practice is in Bridgeport Connecticut and I currently reside in Newtown Connecticut. I am married with three children.
