Prophetess De-Borah A. Champion is the 9th of 10 children. She was found sitting on the steps of the Progressive Baptist Church in below zero temperatures, by the Late Dr. Charles A. Threatts, who raised her there for over 20 years; birthing her into the vessel God has called her to be. After experiencing many hellish storms and one almost taking her life, she cried out to God for peace, and God responded, "Prophesy to the Nations". In 1996, Out of obedience to the commandment of God, she had to leave her home Church of over 20 years. On Friday January 23, 1998, Prophetess Champion received a phone call that The Late Prophet Nathan Simmons was in town, and this was his last night in revival @ James Temple Church of God in Christ. Prophetess Champion and her friends were led to attend the revival, and it was that night that Prophet Nathan Simmons anointed this Woman of God and told her that, "God will be the true surgeon, and there will be a quick recovery". On January 26, 1998, Prophetess Champion underwent a 7 hour brain & spinal surgery, resulting from a birth defect that went undetected for 28 1/2 years, and should have killed her by age 7. After the surgery, doctors told her mother that "it's now 50/50" and all we can do is just wait!"
After waking up in recovery, Prophetess Champion remembered the words of Prophet Nathan Simmons, held on to that prophesy, and Sunday April 19, 1998 (3 months after her 1st brain & spinal surgery); she made history in Charleston, West Virginia as she was the 1st Woman to ever preach at The Liberty Baptist Church of Charleston, West Virginia in the 89 year history of the Church.. She responds, "TO GOD BE THE GLORY"! On May 24, 1999, Prophetess Champion underwent brain surgery for the 2nd time, and God showed out again as she recovered in 7 weeks. On May 9th, 2000 @ a Holy Spirit Conference, Bishop Bobby Hilton of Word of Deliverance obeyed God by releasing a Prophetic word to the Prophetess: "God is going to do something so miraculous with your Ministry that the Church and Society will never understand." In August of 2000, she was commissioned by God to join the New Prospect Baptist Church, under the auspices of Damon Lynch III. It was in a Thursday Night Meeting, that Pastor Lynch told Prophetess Champion that God already showed him she was coming, so he revealed his vision for New Prospect to her. Under Pastor Lynch, she learned how to love those rejected by society and the Church. It was during her own homelessness that she aided Pastor Lynch during the 2001 Riots of Cincinnati, OH; leading drug addicts, prostitutes, and the homeless to Christ. She often wondered why she had to become homeless to be effective in such a powerful Ministry, that being the New Wineskin Ministry. She was reminded of the Apostle Paul's words, "I had to become as they were to gain them." Prophetess Champion truly understands that "it is not the well that need a physician, but the sick."
She was educated in the Public School System where she graduated From High School with a 1.6 G.P.A. due to her brain deformity. She attended God's Bible School and College in Cincinnati OH, and obtained above a 3.0. Prophetess Champion is also a Licensed Managing Cosmetologist and Author of 8 Books in 2 1/2 years. She is currently working on her 9th literary work. On February 27th, 2011, Prophetess Champion modeled at the 1st Nobel Experience Fashion Show Featuring the Policeman vs. The Fire Fighters vs. the Ministers of Cincinnati, OH and WON The NOBLE EXPERIENCE AWARD....On April 1st, 2011, she was Consecrated and Affirmed as an Apostle in Cincinnati, OH by her Spiritual father & Covering, Apostle/Bishop Harold E. Hunter of Greater Works Christian Center of Somerville, TN, To God be all the Glory!... She is the Senior Pastor of New Wineskins Empowerment Center in Cincinnati, OH...She is an Apostle, a Prophetess, a Prophetic Psalmist and an Expositor of God's Word; chosen, anointed & appointed by God to go to the Nations resuscitating the lost, birthing sons and daughters, transforming communities and building Apostolic teams to go out into the highways and hedges compelling men and women to come into the Kingdom; One Soul, One Community, One City, One State, One Nation at a Time...
